Client Advisor - ***Previously owned by Michael Jordan*** 641 bhp, supercharged V-8 engine, five-speed automatic transmission, front and rear independent suspension with aluminum double wishbones, coil springs, and gas dampers; and four-wheel carbon-ceramic disc brakes. Wheelbase: 106.3 in. Each having an enviable racing record, few partnerships in the automotive world have been more fruitful than that of Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. Mercedes-Benz had been supplying engines to McLaren in Formula 1 since the mid-1990s, and over the course of the following 15 years, McLaren F1 cars racked up numerous victories. Mercedes-Benz eventually acquired 40 percent of the McLaren Group, and at this time, the two companies produced their first road car together, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. The SLR was introduced in November 2003, a time when Ferrari Enzo was set to do battle with the Porsche Carrera GT. Instead of creating an all-out, no-compromises supercar, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren pursued an entirely different route. Rather than placing the engine behind the cabin, as was the standard supercar formula, the car had a front-mid-engine layout. This not only helped to improve the SLRs handling by giving it near-perfect weight distribution but also gave the car a rather spacious trunk and cabin, which made it much more practical and usable than its comparable competition. As it was supremely engineered and built to incredible standards at McLarens facilities in Woking, it boasted a very high level of fit and finish, the kind befitting of any Mercedes-Benz. To many, it was the ultimate mix of supercar and grand touring car. Mercedes-Benz received feedback from discerning clients requesting a car that was sportier than the SLR but still just as practical. In 2007, Mercedes-Benz answered their demands with the introduction of the much improved and sportier 722 Edition. The new special edition was named in honor of Stirling Moss incredible win at the 1955 Mille Miglia in a 300 SLR, car number 722. The 722 was limited to just 150 units, and only about 25 of these are believed to have been brought to North America. With more than 300 modified components, nearly every aspect of the SLR was upgraded for the 722 Edition. Power rose from 617 to 650 horsepower, the 060 time dropped to 3.6 seconds, ride height was lowered by 10 millimeters, new 19-inch alloy wheels were developed to fit larger carbon-ceramic brake rotors, and a new carbon fiber front splitter increased front downforce by 128 percent. Incredibly, despite the significant downforce increase, the drag coefficient of the 722 is also reduced. Alcantara and carbon fiber replaced much of the leather and aluminum trim throughout the interior, giving the car a more updated and sportier feel. Compared to its rivals, most significantly the Ferrari Enzo and Porsche Carrera GT, the 722 Edition represents breathtaking performance, unrivaled exclusivity, and tremendous value in a package that can be easily driven and enjoyed. This SLR 722 Edition was ordered in Crystal Antimony Grey Metallic, a color exclusively for the 722, over black leather and Alcantara interior. It has had only one owner from new and was optioned with XL driver and passenger seats. With only 1,038 miles, it is in virtually new condition and has never been re-painted. Included in the sale are the owners manuals, spare key, first aid kit, window sticker, battery tender, and service records. The SLR 722 Edition is one of the rarest Mercedes-Benz production models and is the ultimate example of their partnership with McLaren. Eddie Tobias Jr.2 years agoI found them on line and called to schedule a test drive . No hassle, no pressure, a very friendly atmosphere. Purchased a QX56 two days after the test drive. Cody York and the rest of the sales team were very professional, I highly recommend Crave, you won't be disappointed.
Thomas3 years agoWorking with Cody York was a great experience. He provided valueable insights and made purchasing the California a wonderful experience. It was painless! Facility was spotless. Thanks Cody, you ROCK! Will definitely purchase future vehicles through Cody.
Brantmn3 years agoBought a 2003 996 Turbo X50 from Karl and the car was exactly as described! Karl was totally helpful AFTER the sale with some other historical detail on this rare vehicle. It is rare to have such attention from any dealer. I look forward to working with Crave again!
Greg Jardine3 years agoKarl Stomberg and Cody York over at Crave Luxury in The Woodlands are nothing short of TOP SHELF. If you're considering buying a High End Car, make sure you give them a call FIRST. I've recently purchased my 2nd Lamborghini from Crave Luxury in the span of 18 months. Getting to this dealership and home is a 6-7 hour round trip drive for me and still, it's totally worth the trip. My buying experience was beyond amazing 2X in a row. Every member of the staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. When you walk in to look (or buy), you know they want you there and you are treated as such. I wish more places could get the car-buying-experience right like they do here. I picked up my most recent Lamborghini on the night of 11/25/2015 which happens to be the day before Thanksgiving. Due to rush-hour/holiday traffic in Dallas, I was running behind schedule and they kept the dealership open after hours to accommodate my schedule. Best car buying experience I have ever had and I'll be back for Lamborghini #3 next year.
Tim Hellman3 years agoWorked with Cody York on purchasing a 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS. We did a Facetime walk through going over the car while it was on the lift and back again on the ground. Being 600 miles from their dealership this was very helpful. The car was pretty much everything as described. I would recommend using them in looking for or consigning your next car!
Eric H3 years agoI recently purchased a very highly optioned 2012 Porsche Carrera 911s from the guys at Crave. The car has 3,000 original miles and looks like new, in every way. I literally saw the car, drove it, and after some surprisingly easy negotiating, bought it that day. This car is typical of most of the vehicles Crave sells. They have a real talent for stocking very high end, low mile vehicles. You could eat off any vehicle in their show room. My impression is that they move their inventory pretty quickly, so if you like it, I recommend you buy it before someone else comes along.
RJ Rodriguez3 years agoI was surfing the net looking for a Porsche 911 when I came upon a 2013 911 at Crave Luxury Auto and immediately submitted an online request to see the car. Within minutes I recieved an email from Cody York to come down and check it out, we were there the very next day. Looked at the vehicle and fell in love with it, we negociated for a couple of days with Cody until we were comfortable with the price and purchased it. We drove down in a rental and were picked up by Cody at rental company and taken to the dealership to take possession of the vehicle. The professionalism and constant communications with Cody made this purchase easy and seamless. Would definitely recommend Crave Luxury Auto to anyone. Kudos to Cody York for this experience.
F4303 years agoWorked with Cody at Crave and purchased a car from them. Despite this being my first "online" purchase, I never felt as if I was being dismissed or treated differently from anyone walking in the door. Cody walked me through the process in a clear and succinct manner. In my dealings with him, I found him to be hard working and honest. The car was delivered without incident and it was exactly as described. I would buy another car from Crave.
Kayil Crow3 years agoI sent an email requesting information about a car that I was interested. Was answered promptly and with all of questions answered with great detail. When I came to visit, the showroom was amazing and I was pleased with the how I was treated and I did not feel that I was being cheated. Cody York is the Man to talk to if you're interested in buying a car. He will get you exactly what you're looking for and make sure it exceeds your expectations! 5+ stars!!!
Mike Thompson3 years agoI worked with Cody York on sourcing a specific car for me. I wanted an SL63 AMG in a hard color to find. Cody told me not a problem and that he could find that car for me. They required a deposit up front to get the ball rolling which is totally understandable. Less than a week Cody called me and said that my car was here! It was exactly what I was wanting. I rate Crave 5 stars and will be using them in the near future to get my wife in a Ferrari California! Thanks Cody!
jimmy morgan2 years agoI walked in with no appointment. Paul the manager was very thorough, laying out all my options & was very patient while I decided. Never felt any pressure from him at all. Clean establishment, including the restrooms. There's bottled water, comfy furniture, & television to watch while you wait. Definitely coming back again for future car repairs.
stom 95962 years agoThe experience at Crave Luxury was out of this world. As soon as I stepped foot into their amazing garage I was greeted and taken care. Their lead sales associate Cody assisted me and was so genuine when it came to answering any questions I had about any car. I highly recommend doing business with these professionals and will definitely be coming back in the future.
RJ Donnelly2 years agotop notch operation with an incredible fleet of rare and exotic cars. outstanding customer service. they go the extra mile for their customers. I highly recommend.
Richy Orozco2 years agoNice cars and cool people. I recommended this place to two family friends and they both ended up buying cars from Crave. The service is good and they know how to keep their customers happy.
Olena Jurak3 years agoWe bought our H2 in November 2015, it was a wonderful experience, we will definitely go back. Dieter was super, he helped us get the best deal on the trade, we confirmed the trade value with another buyer. We wanted to upgrade from our H3 in order to take our road trips in more comfort, and with more storage space. The car we bought had less then 15k miles on it, great condition, the only thing we have done to it since we bought it was upgrading the entertainment and navigation system. We could not be more happy with our purchase. Comparing to the experiences we've had with other car dealers, new cars and used, it is like night and day. Their inventory was something special, when we are ready to buy our few luxury roadsters we will definitely go back, or call ahead and let them know what we are looking for. Thanks Luxury Auto!
