The Corvette has served as Chevrolets top of the line vehicle since it was first introduced at GM Motorama in 1953. Nearly 70 years and eight generations later, it has surely earned its reputation as Americas Sports Car. Over the course of its substantial lifetime the Corvette has seen a generous number of evolutions and redesigns. Most recently, the 2020 C8 model made a monumental modification by making the Corvette into a mid-engine vehicle. Besides the C1, all other iterations of the Corvette have featured a front engine. Furthermore, the C8 saw a complete overhaul of exterior features to accommodate the new placement of the cars engine. In other words, the signature Corvette style is something that can only be found in the annals of Corvette history. This chassis number 106882 is a sixth generation C6 and the first model to feature exposed headlamps since the C2. It was originally offered from a private collection and, as such, is a one owner vehicle with just under 1500 miles. Additionally, it is one of only 145 Grand Sport Corvettes offered in Velocity Yellow exterior for the 2010 year. Marked improvements were made by Callaway who opted to use their SC606 modifications. Upgrades consisted of an air-to-liquid intercooler with intake, Callaway carbon fiber injector covers, a Callaway Honker high-flow intake system, a Callaway Double-D stainless steel exhaust system, and a TVS2300 Roots-style supercharger. The interior of the car is beautifully decorated with Cashmere and a leather wrapped, carbon fiber steering wheel. The cars original sticker price came in at $75,565. Callaway equipment then added an additional $24,885. With an estimated total price of over $100,000, rare exterior paint, and Callaway add-ons, this Corvette is a stunning and exclusive example of upper echelon American cars. Specs: 6.2L V8 engine with 606 bhp, Automatic 6-speed transmission with paddle shifters, TVS2300 Roots-style supercharger, Callaway equipment: carbon fiber hood, door thresholds, floor mats, dash plaque, Callaway intake and exhaust systems, Cashmere interior, Leather wrapped carbon fiber steering wheel, Exhaust slat trim package, Hood accent in Zambezi Silver.
