The Chevrolet Corvette C7 is the seventh generation incarnation of the original Corvette C1 introduced in 1953. It debuted at the 2013 North American International Auto Show hosted in Detroit. The C7 is the first Corvette to sport the brands reimagined crossed flags logo. Along with the new logo, the C7 upended virtually every element of prior Corvette design. Whereas Corvettes from the past had few body creases, the C7 is loaded with them. While previous models never featured a spoiler, the C7 came with a spoiler built-in. Though older Corvette designs attempt to hide the cars head and taillights, the C7 sports large and angular lights on both ends. The C7 may have been meant as a reimagined version of an iconic classic, but the finished model is drastically different enough that it is sometimes hard to see the resemblance. One could say that the C7 is more foster child than bloodline relative of the Corvette brand. Nonetheless, it is one of the fastest performance vehicles with an identity all its own. This chassis number 122587 is the first in the line of the C7 Grand Sport models, which began production in 2017. As such, it comes with unique Grand Sport wheel designs with 19x10 in. front and 20x12 in. rear sizes. Furthermore, a Brembo brake system with red six-piston calipers has been attached to the wheels. The 122587 is powered by a LT1 V8 engine with a dry-sump oiling system, active exhaust, and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Lastly, the addition of an electronic limited-slip differential and magnetic ride control with specific stabilizer bars and unique springs create an effortless driving experience on roads in any condition. Perhaps most importantly, the 122587 is upgraded with the 3LT trim package which adds a bevy of refinements including Nappa leather seats, heated and ventilated seats, suede-wrapped interior components, an upgraded touchscreen, a heads up display, and an improved Bose stereo system. Specs: LT1 V8 engine with dry-sump oiling, 8-speed automatic transmission, Active exhaust, Brembo brake system with red calipers, Electronic limited-slip differential, Magnetic ride control, Corvette 3LT trim package, Nappa leather seats, Suede-wrapped interior components, Heated and ventilated seats, Heads up display, Upgraded Bose stereo system, Theft deterrent system, Performance data recorder.
